Ex-way (UL)
Flexible Configurations for any Situation
LS Busway's Ex-way (UL) is a totally enclosed, non-ventilated, true-sandwich design rated at 600V and engineered for demanding power distribution needs. This advanced busway system supports current ratings from 630A to 6000A and is available with either copper or aluminum conductors.
Designed for both performance and durability, the Ex-way (UL) busway features an all-aluminum, two-piece housing that provides excellent mechanical strength and superior heat dissipation. This makes it a reliable busway solution for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications.
The Ex-way (UL) busway system is capable of handling up to AC 1000V. When paired with our high-performance joint kit, the large, connected surface reduces contact resistance and meets NEMA 3 weather-resistant standards. Depending on your project requirements, LS Busway's Ex-way (UL) is available with interior or exterior NEMA 3R-rated housing, or NEMA 1 for indoor installations.

Application Key Benefits: Data Centers
High Power Density: Busway is designed to handle large power loads efficiently, making them suitable for high-density computing environments where numerous servers require significant power.
Improved Airflow: Since they eliminate the need for numerous power cables, busway create open spaces which enhance airflow around server racks, optimizing cooling efficiency.
Space Saving: Their compact design allows for more efficient use of data center floor space.

Application Key Benefits: Industrial
Scalability and adaptability: Busway sections can be easily added or rearranged to accommodate new equipment or production line adjustments without major rewiring, making it perfect for evolving industrial environments.
Quick installation: Busway is prefabricated and uses simple connection methods, significantly reducing installation time and labor costs compared to traditional wiring.
Direct power access: Plug-in units can be installed along the busway to provide direct power to individual machines or workstations, eliminating the need for long cable runs.

Application Key Benefits: Residential
Modular design: Compared to cable trays filled with individual wires, busway takes up less space due to its compact, modular design.
Flexibility in layout: Busway can be easily configured to fit the specific layout of a high-rise building, with the ability to add or modify power taps as needed.
Easy maintenance: Busway systems typically have accessible components, allowing for straightforward maintenance and repairs.
Safety features: Most busway systems are designed with safety features like enclosed conductors, minimizing the risk of electrical hazards.
