Ex-way (UL)

LS Cable & System E-series Busway can be used for applications carrying up to AC 1000V and currents from 630A to 6000A. When connected using a joint kit the connected surface is very large thus minimizing contact resistance, and basically NEMA 1 can be realized or can be upgraded up to NEMA 3. It can be produced in both exterior and interior NEMA 3R external housing configuration, and interior NEMA 1 according to application requirements.

  • Sandwich Type (Epoxy Coating) / AL Housing / Standard NEMA 1/ Joint Kit.
  • Low voltage below AC 600V, and between 630A  and 6000A.
  • The most widely used conventional model.
  • Epoxy powder insulator
  • Class F and Fire-retardant properties available as an option

Benefits

It is lightweight, therefore easy to install, and does not require much space. Load divergence is feasible through the plug-in box installed on the Busway enabling simplification of the power system. Safety has been enhanced through earthquake and explosion proof features, and management is convenient due to the application of temperature and power monitoring systems.

EX-Way Busway

EX-Way UL Series

Ex-way UL series is a totally enclosed, non-ventilated, true sandwich

design rated at 600V, and to carry the current range of 630A to 6000A.

Available in either copper or aluminum busbar in an all-aluminum,

two-piece housing that provides excellent mechanical strength and

heat radiation properties.

General Specifications

Insulation

Epoxy, class B (266ºF)

Applied with fluidized bed process.

Insulation Properties

An insulator of thermal class rating Class B(266ºF) is applied to the Ex-way UL series. FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) with high dielectric property is used as insulation at the connection which performs as insulation between phases and housing. According with NEMA GD 1-2016 that provides the requirements and recommendations associated with various categories of electrical equipment that have been subjected to water damage, says the Busway powder-coated bars (like Epoxy insulation) can be reconditioned in case of water contact.

Eco Friendly

The LS C&S Busway acquired RoHS certification, and only uses

component without hazardous substances shush as lead, cadmium,

mercury, chrome, PBBs and PBDEs.

Conductors

The Ex-way UL uses either copper conductors with conductivity over

98% and purity over 99.9%, or aluminum conductor with conductivity

over 61% and purity over 99.6%.

Housing

The Ex-way (UL) uses an effective heat radiating aluminum housing,

the housing can be used as a proactive conductor (PE) due to its highlevel

conductivity and cross-sectional areas.
