The Difference is in the Coating

We tested friction reduction between pulling a control cable and lubricated cable with EZ-RF Coating. The results spoke for themselves. Details of the test included:

  1. 2 identical 2” schedule 40 conduit runs mounted on a wall with a total length about 44.4-ft with an initial 17.5’ straight run entering the first of two 90° elbows separated by a 37” long straight run with 17.5’ straight run coming out of 2nd 90° elbow and entering two 90° elbows separated by a 6” straight run which creates in effect a 180° turn. And each pull length was 50.’
  2. Support personnel guide cable so it would enter the conduit system straight to more closely simulate how it is normally done in the field.
  3. Used Greenlee Model 6001 G-Series Smart Pull tugger with 7 wraps of pull cord around pulling sheave
  4. Used T-type Kellum pulling grip
